Are You Too Busy For Your Health?

Are You Too Busy For Your HealthDo you find yourself at Target at least once if not twice a week? If you are like me, going to Target never takes less than an hour. Even when I have my list and promise myself that I will not look at the $1 bins, I always find myself rummaging through them!

During my private health coaching sessions one of the first things I do with my clients is figure out where we are spending the majority of our time.

Yes our careers, family and friends take up a lot of our time but guess what takes up even more time? Running errands and going to Target!

We are often too busy running errands and getting things done that we find ourselves running out of time for our health.

I have realized over the years that as women, we can always find something to occupy our time;  running errands, watching TV or checking Facebook instead of taking time for ourselves.

Why do we do this? Well it is so much easier to buy shampoo than it is to think about ourselves. We have been programmed to get everything done on our to-do list first, and then do something to support ourself and our health.

We have become too busy for our health and that is the number one reason why we as women have a difficult time choosing ourselves and making our health a priority.

There is always going to be something to buy at Target, trust me! If we truly want to feel better it all comes down to choosing ourselves.  Ladies, we matter more than any bottle of shampoo!

I encourage you to take a moment to write down at least five things that might be taking up your time. After you write these time suckers down ask yourself, “if I choose to not do these things this week will I have enough time to grocery shop, meal prep, rest or move my body?”

If the answer is yes, just pick one thing that you have wanted to include into your daily life and add that to your calendar. Just remember to just focus on one healthy addition to your life at a time.

I know that putting yourself first might not be the easiest thing to do so be loving and patient with yourself. Share with us below the one thing that you will be including into your life this week and we will all support each other!

Big Hugs & Health,

Katie
