Move Your Body Because You Love Your Body

A few of you asked what type of movement I enjoy the most, and it got me to thinking. There was a time in my life when I would wake up at 6:30 in the morning, go to the gym to run or swim and go to yoga after work.

I loved working out, it made me feel alive but it didn’t help me love my body and I definitely didn’t have enough energy to make it through my day because I was overdoing it and was exhausted.

I used to exercise so that I would love my body, and now I move my body because I love my body. 

Now I try not to “work out” or “exercise”,  that just seems like a lot of work and I like my body movement to be fun.

I now go for walks, bike rides, the occasional boot camp with my hubby which is tons of fun, and if I can’t make it to yoga I practice at home instead. Plus I made a stand up desk so that I am not sitting all day either.

I know that in order for my body to look and feel good, I must nourish it and move it because I love it, not because I am trying to mold it into something else in order to love it.
