Being Grateful For Your Health

Have you ever noticed how being grateful helps to improve your state of well being? Many studies have shown the powerful effects that gratitude has on our health. It’s pretty amazing how focusing on the good in your life can reduce your stress, which in turn helps to relax your body, which then improves digestion, reduces PMS and keeps your hormones balanced. It’s a cascade effect, and I have noticed in my life the more I am in a grateful place it helps me stay connected to having an even more loving relationship with my body.

gratitude journalBeing grateful might not always come easy to you. I know that when I’m having one of those days when everything doesn’t seem to go the way I want it, I have a harder time finding something to be grateful for. So I have been writing in my gratitude journal every day to help keep me focused on feeling good. It has really helped me shift from having a bad day to a better day much faster than in years past.

So this year, after we have spent the day giving thanks with our family, I encourage you to start your own gratitude journal. Find a time of day that works the best for you, first thing in the morning or before you go to sleep, and write what you are grateful for. Remember to make you, the first thing every day you are grateful for and see how this practice starts to improve your health.

As I sit here thinking this morning about what I am grateful for, I wanted you to know how thankful I am of your support over the years. I wouldn’t be here without you, so as a thank you please enjoy this gift from me Healthy Holiday Survival Guide to help support you this season.
