Healthy Snack Ideas To Curb Your Cravings

chocolate 2If you are like me me, you might have a variety of cravings. I crave yoga, friend time, and what I like to call KT Time (my alone time). I also crave crackers and chocolate… lots of chocolate!

I used to try and control my cravings because I thought they were so all over the place and therefore a negative thing. But over the past few years I have learned how to embrace cravings instead, and welcome them because they tell me the truth of what is really going on in my body.

We all have cravings but we tend to think of them as “bad” or as a “weakness.” When women reach out to me to work with me they are often disappointed in themselves when they reveal that they can’t believe they are craving chocolate all of the time. I often hear them telling me that they should be more in control of their cravings.

Just as I share with the women who reach out to me, I want you to know that your cravings are not “bad” or “weak”.

It’s important that we embrace our cravings. Our craving for food is just our solution to how we are feeling. Think of it this way, if you are craving salty foods all of the time, it might mean you are dehydrated and need to drink more water. If you are craving chocolate all of the time perhaps your hormones are not balanced.

Food and your food cravings are just a wonderful way to tune in and understand what your body truly needs. The more that we embrace our inner thoughts and inner cravings the more we can understand if we are reaching for potato chips because of stress, crunching helps reduce stress in our body, or if we are lacking certain nutrients.

I encourage you to download this  You & Your Cravings guide as a way to explore what you are craving and how you are feeling. I have also included a healthy snack guide to curb any of your cravings.

Let’s see if there is a connection between all of your cravings. By embracing and exploring our inner dialogue, we can see if we are cravings certain food to satisfy our emotions or our taste buds.

After you have taken the time to observe you and your body I invite you to join me for a complimentary discussion so I can offer insight and support. Just email me to set up a time.

Looking forward to learning more about you very soon.

Big Hugs & Health,

Katie
