Does your body crave cold sweet treats once the temperature goes above 80 degrees? Mine too! That is why I decided to experiment in the kitchen to create a sweet treat that is also healthy for you.
My strawberry smoothie popsicles are easy to make and will satisfy your cravings for a cool snack. All you need is a blender, the ingredients below and a popsicle mold. Here is the one I got on Amazon but they also sell them at Target if you want to run out to the store right now.
Strawberry Smoothie Popsicles
Grocery List:
- 7-8 strawberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1 1/2 cup of almond milk (unsweetened)
- * 1/2 cup of spinach (optional but you can’t taste it at all, I promise)
Directions:
- Toss the strawberries, bananas, almond milk and spinach into the blender
- Pour the smoothie mix into the popsicle mold
- Put in the freezer for 7-8 hours
- When they are ready to eat run the individual popsicle mold under hot water for a moment so they can easily be removed from the plastic mold
- Eat & Enjoy
Katie Healthy Tip:
- Sprinkle some unsweetened shredded coconut on top or some raw cacao nibs for some extra texture and taste
- Please don’t leave them out of the freezer to long… they will melt 😉
