Love Of Lemons

photo-21We were super excited to move into our new place in California for many reasons, one being we would have our very own lemon tree.
I can’t look at a lemon without feeling happy, they are just so bright and cheerful. Lemons are also super important to our health and really easy to add to our daily diet.
Here are a few reasons I Love Lemons! 
  1. Lemons are naturally acidic but become neutral when we eat them which then balances the PH level in our body. This is very important since most of the foods we consume is acidic and can destroy the PH balance in our body. Lemons helps eliminate toxins from our body which is just one important reason why we should include them into our daily diet.
  1. Since lemons help create a strong immune system they are perfect to add into your diet right now as cold and flu season is starting. If you are starting to feel a little tired and have cold like symptoms add lemons to help build up your immunity.
  2. Lemons are also great with acne. Drop some freshly squeezed lemon juice on a cotton ball and place it on your pimple to dry it out and help prevent more breakouts.
  3. Lemons help lower blood pressure and have been found to be anti-carcinogenic which helps lower the rates of colon, prostate and breast cancer.
Add Lemons To Your Life, Helpful Tips  
  1. Add lemon slices to your water, in your morning smoothies, or use as a salad dressing.
  2. I have used lemons over the years as a natural hair lightener at the beach instead of chemical sprays like Sun In.
  3. Lemons are great to drink during a hike or on a hot day to help prevent dehydration
