During the holiday season we are usually thinking about what we can do and give someone else. So today I’m asking you “what are you doing to take care of you and your health this holiday season?”
Self care is always so important but it’s absolutely essential this time of the year to help you stay healthy. I encourage you to schedule time on your calendar and when your calendar reminder pops up on your computer screen you take that time for you. No worries, if you only have five minutes one day, that is still enough time to just focus on you and will make a difference in your life. Taking time for self care helps reduce stress, reduces exhaustion, prevents illness and creates time for more laughter.
Here are some easy and fun ways you can incorporate self care into your busy schedule this holiday season
- Take a longer shower
- Take a yoga class
- Light a candle
- Call your best friend
- Read a chapter in your book
- Schedule a massage
- Pamper yourself more with a pedicure and manicure
- Cook your favorite meal
- Watch your chick flick or two
- Drink a cup of tea
- Go for a walk
- Sit in the sun
- Look at photos
- Read the comics and laugh
- Give a Hug
- Take your favorite exercise class
