What I love the most about smoothies is that you get to start your day off with tons of healthy fruits and veggies which helps to nourish and energize your body.
This smoothie recipes is one of my favorites and is perfect if you are just starting to incorporate smoothies into your diet. If you have been making smoothies for a while see below for some superfoods that you can add to your smoothie for extra health benefits.
Grocery Shopping List:
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1/2 cup of berries (blueberries, strawberries and blackberries)
- 1/2 banana or 1/2 of an avocado
- A dash of cinnamon
- A spoonful of almond or peanut butter
- 1 cup of unsweetened Almond Milk
Optional Superfoods:
- Cacao Powder or Cacao Nibs
- Goji Berries
- Maca Powder
- Collagen Powder
- Chia Seeds
- Flax Seeds
- Coconut Oil
- Bee Pollen
Directions:
- Toss everything into a blender (Nutri-Bullet, Vitamix)
- Blend & Enjoy
