Simple Delish Recipe: Quinoa For Breakfast

I love Quinoa! It is super easy to make and is packed with protein. It it fills you up so you won’t be searching for anything additional to eat.
Having quinoa for breakfast is one of the best ways to start your day. This recipe is similar to the way you would make oatmeal! Super Simple and Easy, one of the reasons it is one of Balanced Beings Simple Delish Recipes!

Grocery List  
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup diced squash
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced carrot rounds
  • 1/4 cup nut milk
Directions:
1. Using a fine mesh strainer, rinse quinoa with cool water until the water runs clear.
2. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
3. Add quinoa to boiling water.
4. Reduce heat to a light boil and simmer 20 minutes.
5. Halfway through cooking, add squash, carrots, raisins, almonds, sesame seeds.
6. Remove from heat and nut milk.

  • Add in cinnamon
  • Try different types of fruit, bananas, strawberries, blueberries
  • You can try it without the squash and yams and just have it as a fruit/quinoa dish
  • Have fun, experiment!
