Simple Delish Recipe: Sweet Bananas

katie_morning_treat_150x200I am so busy during the day that I need something that can sustain my energy levels and fill me up for a few hours. I love my morning treat smoothie! I have tried tons of different combinations and this is my favorite way to start my day.

It is super easy to make. You just need a magic bullet or a blender. I love my magic bullet, (http://www.buythebullet.com/)  it is easy to clean and it never fails to make my morning treat in less than two minutes.

 

 

Grocery List: 

  • 1 Banana
  • A handful of spinach
  • A handful of kale
  • Berries! strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon of wheatgrass
  • A 1/2 cup of water
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter

* all is optional. Best thing is to try different combinations and find one that you enjoy the most!

Directions:

  1. Just blend everything together and enjoy! To make your morning extra special just pour it into a fancy glass and drink out of a fun straw 🙂

Katie B Tip:

  • If you know that you are going to have a busy morning you can make it at night and then leave it in the fridge in a sealed tight container.
