These Women Are Thriving In Their Bodies

WomenWhenever my Thrive In Your Body Group Program ends, it is always so bittersweet for me. I absolutely adore each and every woman in this program and I really look forward to hearing their voices every Monday evening for our group sessions.

My Thrive In Your Body Program is a five-week group coaching support program that focuses on how to get your body back into balance. I believe when one part of our life is not fulfilled, then everything seems a little more difficult. If you are too busy with your career and have no time to move your body then you might be lethargic. But if you make movement more of a priority maybe you will spend a little less time at your desk and a little more time with yourself. And when you do, you’ll realize how much better you feel. I know that when we as women make ourselves a priority and take care of our bodies that is when we show up as our best self.

I’m seriously so grateful for all of the ah-ha moments my ladies have had with their health in just the past five weeks and wanted to share a few with you today.

One woman has been trying to lose weight for years. She has been dealing with some thyroid issues and has been on medication for years. As is typically the case, her doctor never looked at her diet to see if the food she was eating was helping her body thrive.  She was craving more energy, and at the suggestion of her doctor needed to lose some weight. She came to me with the intention and commitment to really focus on her health. This amazing lady is a full time student and being comfortable with and in her body was very important to her.

We really looked closely at her diet and eliminated trigger foods and started to add in foods that would nourish her body. Her aha-moment was when she realized that some of the foods she had been eating for years were actually causing her to feel tired, bloated and hungry.  When we took those foods out she was able to pin-point exactly what was making her feel energized verses tired and I’m happy to say that she has been able to lose weight after all this time. She has lost 15 pounds in just two months! She is excited about the weight loss but what is really making her happy is that her mind is more clear and focused which is really important for all of the studying she is doing for school right now!

Women

Another lady who has been part of the Thrive In Your Body journey since the first launch last January had an incredible breakthrough during our time together. She joined Thrive In Your Body as a way to get support to help her fully embrace and love her body. Just like most of us she had insecurities about her body that were holding her back in her personal and professional life. She really craved more body love and confidence. Just a few weeks ago she had her aha-moment when she realized that the one thing that she really didn’t like about her body was what was helping her achieve some of her health and wellness goals.

“My legs are big and I used to hate them, be so self conscious about them then I just started to love them. Now instead of thinking oh I have huge legs, I think I have strong legs and think of all I do… hiking, half marathons, and my new endeavors of spinning, barre and pilates classes. Yes I still see them as big but I now accept it, appreciate it and love them as part of me.”

It is never too late to create healthy habits even if you have tried for years to lose weight and feel amazing and confident in that body of yours. I know that making the decision to try something new isn’t easy, and that making you a priority seems difficult to fit into your schedule. But you matter and you deserve to feel healthy and joyful. Sometimes all it takes is a leap of faith and trusting that everything will be better than before.

What are some healthy habits you would like to start embracing today? Please share with us below or send me a note to share.

Big Hugs & Health,

Katie
