I used to be able to eat an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s Mint Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream in just one sitting. It was my favorite thing in the entire sweets universe. Yes, that is pretty gross but it was so good. My mind and my body thought differently though.
As soon as I was finished I felt so sick, my tummy hurt and all I wanted to do was sleep and then eat more ice cream. It was full of so much sugar and unhealthy fats. I don’t know about you but, sugar makes me crazy. My body rejects it like nothing else. I get tired, lethargic, moody, irritable and my skin breaks out.When I started eating healthier I realized that my digestion and sinus issues were caused by all of the dairy in my diet. It was devastating at first, how was I going to live without cheese and ice cream but once I cut it out of my diet I noticed how much my skin glows, all of the digestion issues I struggled with are now gone and I feel so much better without it.
I still miss ice cream though so I came up with this delicious recipe and I just had to share it with you. Time to get addicted to Katie B’s Ice Cream Treat!
Katie B’s “Ice Cream” Treat
Ingredients
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1 Frozen Avocado
- Optional: a dash of cinnamon, a 1/4 cup of cacao nibs or shredded coconut!
Directions
- Toss them into the blender, blend and enjoy!
